This album, recorded in the royal chapel of the Palace of Versailles, is centered on the great mass music of his later years, and includes rarely heard instrumental music and organ music of the same period. The choir with a children's chorus of surprisingly exquisite sound and the delicate playing of ancient instruments will give shape to these pieces, along with singers such as David Tricoux and Romain Champion, who have earned a solid reputation in the French ancient music scene.
