In July 2011, \"Shoro Club\", a string trio consisting of Ou Akioka (bandolin), Shigeharu Sasago (guitar), and Joji Sawada (double bass), performed the songs (pop songs) left by the great contemporary musician Toru Takemitsu (1930-1996) with seven vocalists (Ann Sally, Sizzle Ohtaka, Yuichi Ohata Yuichi Ohata, Chie Sawa, tamamix, Mio Matsuda, and Takashi Matsudaira), and released as \"The Toru Takemitsu Songbook. The Shoro Club spun the feelings that the contemporary composer entrusted to \"songs,\" also known as pop songs, with vocalistas, and the album has been listened to as a masterpiece ever since its release. In 2020, the album was moved to the BETTER DAYS label, and was released as a complete set of all the songs with additional unrecorded material, including live recordings.
