Jet Holden is a country singer from Nashville. Born into a strict religious family, he sang in choirs from an early age and later fell in love with country and folk music under the influence of Tracy Chapman and Garth Brooks. He began writing and singing his own songs, but when he realized he was queer (homosexual), he gave up on the idea of living in the conservative country music scene. However, his life changed forever in 2021 when he was contacted by Holly G., founder of the Pluck Opry (a community of black artists and fans involved in country and Americana), after hearing his song \"Taxidermy\" on YouTube.She was so impressed with his songs and voice that she financed the recording. In less than a year, Holly recorded the songs she had written and released them on the newly formed Black Opry Records.
