The debut album "Bright Green Field" will be released simultaneously with a new edition of the album with special stickers! This is the debut album by Squid, the next generation of the UK rock scene's hottest new talent, who were nominated for the BBC's Sound of 2020, which has produced top stars such as Adele, Sam Smith, and Haim, and who have also made a big splash with their surprise signing to Warp. Produced by Dan Carey, the man behind the indie scene that has made Franz Ferdinand's breakthrough, recently discovered Black Midi and Fontaines D.C., and is now creating a huge movement in the U.K., this album is full of the band's unfathomable scale and ambition. The band's DIY experimental spirit is on full display, with field recordings of environmental and natural sounds, as well as the participation of Black Country New Road saxophonist Lewis Evans, who is at the center of the booming scene. The sound, with its tensions and relaxations, travels a winding and unpredictable path, combining the uncertainty of the world with a curiosity for exploration.Recorded in a kind of frenzy in a basement studio in London run by Carey during a heat wave, with the air conditioning even turned off to avoid noise, the film shows the young band burning hot, playing music with intense energy and emotion.
