Most of Jandron's recordings that can be heard today are from his old age. Although his style is elegant and graceful, it is said that he played very agitatedly in his younger days. This box is a perfect example of the young Jandron's greatness. The oldest recording in this box is the Dvorak concerto from 1946, two years after the 1944 recording with Mengelberg and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio Paris, but the high voltage and beautiful singing are superb. Although it is an old recording, it is still very engaging. An interesting recording is the Haydn and Boccherini concertos performed together under the direction of his former teacher, Casals. The solo performance by Gendron is of course a must, but Casals' humanistic accompaniment is also a treat to listen to. The cadenzas in both pieces are Jandron's own compositions. What is even more interesting is that the composer, Jean Francais, is a virtuoso accompanist. The most interesting thing is that he is accompanied by the composer Jean Francais, not by his own compositions, but by difficult pieces such as sonatas by Schubert, Beethoven, and Brahms. The soloists are accompanied by Gyandron, who has a strong presence. This is truly a valuable recording.
