During his three-season tenure with the New York Philharmonic, Barnatan performed concertos and chamber music with the orchestra, expanding his activities around the United States. Barnatan's appeal lies in his colorful piano tone. The London Evening Standard called him \"a true poet of the keyboard instrument, with refinement, precision, and assured delivery,\" and BBC Music magazine said, \"A superb performance.The orchestra's sharp musical talent, overwhelming insight in interpretation, and elegant pianism are all in near-perfect balance.
