He has been a viola player for the New York Philharmonic and the Philadelphia Orchestra, and is a professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Germany. He has a wide repertoire from classical to contemporary music, but this Brahms and Schumann are truly wonderful. The sincerity of his music is truly impressive. Professor Livinius, who plays the piano, is also a distinguished chamber music professor at the Hans Eisler University of Music and Performing Arts in Berlin. The piano used in this concert is a Steinway 1901 vintage instrument.
