Alvino is sung by a young tenor, Galeano Salas, who studied in America. He captivated the audience with his taut high tone and emotional involvement in the role. Nino Machaise as Giselda is a well-known soprano who has sung at the New National Theatre. Veteran singers such as Michele Pertusi, who sings Pagano, also shine.
