However, like other female composers of her time, she never received the recognition she deserved, no matter how wonderful her works were. Her works, which have been called \"the female version of Beethoven,\" all incorporate romantic melodies in a classicist style and show her blessed talent. This album contains two symphonies. The third symphony, called the \"Military Symphony\" because of the use of piccolo, triangle, cymbals, and bass drum in the final movement, and the seventh symphony, composed around 1856.
