He is known for his many original compositions, and has written several pieces for the virtuoso Antonio Pompa Baldi, but on this album, Pompa Baldi performs an improvisation inspired by a \"Neapolitan folk song,\" demonstrating a good collaboration between the two. The album is a good collaboration between the two musicians. The album features many Neapolitan folk songs, but by omitting such well-known pieces as \"O sole mio\" and \"The Window Below,\" Pompa-Baldi has managed to shed light on some of the lesser-known pieces. The melancholy as well as the open tunes are very attractive.
