He is also known for his work in the avant-folk group Feathers, and has been a member of the lo-fi pop band Happy Birthday, which released an album on Sub Pop, and The Muggers, Ty Segall's backing band. As his solo project, King Tuff, he released his debut album Was Dead in 2008.
