A soloist at international music festivals and with major orchestras, she has earned international acclaim for her distinctive and insightful performances of repertoire from the 17th to the 21st centuries. For this album, Ulpina toured libraries in Paris and Venice to uncover manuscript scores by female composers active in the 16th and 18th centuries, including Isabella Leonarda, Francesca Caccini, and Elisabet Jaquet de la Guerre. The program includes world premiere recordings of seven of these works. In addition, new works commissioned by contemporary composers Srema de la Cruz and Elena Canovas Palace are coupled to create a musical dialogue that connects the past and present.\n\n\n\nThe performers will include such established names in the field of ancient music as Maria Inohosa, a soprano singer based in Spain who has been active internationally.
