The second Zarzuela by José de Nebula is now available, performed by Alberto Miguelez Louco and Los Elementos, two young musicians born in Spain in 1994! José de Nebula (1702-1768) was one of the pioneers of Spanish stage music, including the zarzuela (Spanish lyric opera). Only four of his works from the 1740s have survived. This year's recording includes \"Vendado es Amor, no es ciego\" (My Beloved is blind, but not blind), recorded in 2019, followed by the two-act zarzuela \"Donde hay violencia, no hay culpa\" (Violence, but not responsibility), also written in 1744. The play is set in Rome, from a libretto by the famous 18th-century Spanish playwright Nicolás Gonzalez Martínez.He is skilled in the art of incorporating novel elements into traditional elements, a compositional technique that has allowed Nebula to achieve great fame in Madrid in a short period of time. A young and versatile musician, Alberto Migueles Louco founded the baroque orchestra Los Elementos in 2018 while studying at the Schola Cantorum Basel (Basel Conservatory). He is dedicated to the rediscovery and revival of the unjustly forgotten Spanish Baroque.
