He was also concertmaster of the Teatro alla Scala for more than 20 years and contributed to raising the standard of this theater. As a composer, he left behind numerous violin pieces that are still performed rather frequently today. On this CD, the Duets for Violin and Viola, Op. 15, are played by the great maestro Salvatore Accardo. The viola is played by Rimini-born violin and viola player Luigi Alberto Bianchi.
