The music of Pädeschen, who died suddenly in 2014, has not been presented in public recordings, and this album is the first collection of his works with Signe Backe, a close personal and university colleague, playing the piano. Soccorsi\" (Italian for \"relief, aid\"), the title of the album, is part of an unfinished series of small pieces and sketches entitled \"Tagebucher. The session was conducted by players who had strong connections with Padeschen's music, including the string players of Bergen's \"BIT20 Ensemble,\" who performed \"Storyboard.
