This anniversary release marks the 10th anniversary of Breck’s passing and the 60th anniversary of the founding of the London Mozart Players.

・Harry Breck and the London Mozart Players
The London Mozart Players is a chamber orchestra of approximately 40 musicians, founded in 1949 by British conductor and violinist Harry Breck (1910–2009), and active to this day. Beginning in the 1950s, the ensemble held regular concerts at the Royal Festival Hall and other venues, establishing a defining era in the 1950s particularly through their performances of Mozart and Haydn.

・Reviving Legendary Performances of Yesteryear
For 35 years, until 1984, under the leadership of their first chief conductor, Harry Breck—with whom the ensemble shared a strong bond—the London Mozart Players made numerous recordings for HMV in the 1950s. These recordings continue to enjoy enduring popularity for their uniquely approachable style and a sense of ease that evokes a certain nostalgia. Among them are treasures such as Mozart concertos performed by the legendary piano duo Babin & Vronsky.

・First-time stereo releases & all tracks making their CD debut
All five original albums, restored from the HMV Archive’s original masters, are now being released on CD for the first time. Furthermore, with the exception of the bonus track—Haydn’s “Drum Roll”—all tracks that were originally released on monaural LPs are now appearing for the first time in stereo, making this a must-have for fans of analog recordings. The unedited original stereo takes were engineered by Christopher Parker. In 2009, Ian Jones remastered all tracks at Abbey Road Studios. Please enjoy this beautifully refined Mozart performance in superb sound quality, courtesy of a renowned engineer.
[Comment provided by King International]
---

Tracklisting:

1.Symphony No. 41 in C major, K. 551 "Jupiter": 1.
