Daft Punk is a French electronic music duo formed in Paris in 1993 by Guy-Manuel de Ommen-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, who became popular as part of the French House movement in the late 1990s and have since successfully combined elements of funk, techno, disco, rock, synthpop and house music, Disco, rock, and synthpop combined with elements of house music to create a successful band; since 1999, Daft Punk has worn robotic helmets and gloves for most of their appearances, and have rarely given interviews or appeared on television. Member Thomas Bangalter has also composed, directed, and produced film music since 2000. French contemporary dance choreographer and ballet dancer Angoulin Preljocaj gathered 10 dancers from Ballet Preljocaj and 10 dancers from the Opéra National de Bordeaux for an innovative ballet performance at the Opera National de Bordeaux, and asked Thomas Bangalter to create a work for orchestra, which was performed in July. The piece, \"Mythology,\" explores contemporary rituals and the founding myths that shape our imagination.Like the Impressionists, he wants to evoke, through our ideals and beliefs, what swirls in the depths of our lives, putting ancient myths in dialogue with modern myths.
