This gave his playing a deeply emotional quality, and he described himself as a \"lirico spinto pianist.\n\nHis extensive discography, released primarily on Warner\/Elato, includes complete piano works by Liszt, Saint-Saëns, and Sevrac, as well as masterful performances of Debussy and Satie.\n\nThroughout his career, he was a prolific recording artist and had an extensive discography.
