PANGEA INTERNATIONAL" is the first release! A happy encounter and fusion of funk and samba. This single by super group Os Zabeles is a funky samba arrangement of a double-sided funkadelic classic! The funkiness of the original and the exuberance of the samba are perfectly blended on side A, "If You Don't Like The Effects, Don't Produce the Cause," and on side B, "Back In Our Minds," both of which are great covers you don't want to miss! International Recording Co. proudly presents its second release, a new samba-inspired funk adaptation of a classic by the legendary Funkadelic band from Plainfield, New Jersey, USA.Producers Dan Ubick and Bobby Easton were also members of Fishbone, Parliament-Funkadelic/James Brown, The Keystones, Orgon/Say See, as well as Ben Harper and Mariachi El Bronx, Os Zabeles (Os Sabelles), who was also a member of Ben Harper and Mariachi El Bronx. In the vein of Georges Benn's "Africa Brasil" LP, a real super group of musicians from Rio de Janeiro, Detroit, and Los Angeles reworked and refreshed these beloved songs on side A, the 1972 Funkadelic masterpiece LP If You Don't Like TheEffects,Don't Produce the Cause" from America Eats Its Young, with Os Sabelles performing a full samba, and Diana Purim (Diana Purim-Flora Purim and Airto Moreira daughter of Eyedentity=Identity) and Destani Wolf (Destani Wolf.Night Owls, The Far Side, and Bobby McFarlin) are co-lead vocalists. The funky drums and cavaquinho of Oliver Charles are joined by multi-instrumentalist Bobby Easton's surdo, cuica, pandeiro, and hepinqui to expand the Brazilian feel, and the original electric guitar is replaced by a violão, with Prakash John's rubbery, extended bass connected to the low notes of Norwood Fischer of Fishbone. The B-side, "Back In Our Minds," originally appeared on Funkadelic's 1971 magnum opus Maggot Brain LP, is a samba arrangement, again featuring Diana Prim and Destani Wolf. Sisters Kanami and Emina sing half in Portuguese and half in English, adding colorful harmonies. The original flexatone percussion sound is replaced by a Brazilian cuica played by Bobby Easton. But more than anything else, it is an honor and a special mention for Os Salves that the one and only Fred Wesley, a band member of Parliament, Funkadelic, and James Brown, played the funky trombone. "Hit me, Fred!"

Tracklisting:

1.If You Don'T Like The Effects,Don'T Produce The Cause
