However, XTC was asked to tour North America to promote the album \"Oranges and Lemons\", which was released in February 1989. However, the band refuses to go on a concert tour and decides to perform an unplugged 25-minute show on 20 FM radio stations as an alternative. The band decided to release the album using well-preserved recordings from some of the stations.
