The band started by replacing the rhythm section with WYW, which is also a super group in the US hardcore scene. As Jacob and the band members themselves say, their last album was reminiscent of NAPALM DEATH from the 90's onward, with a touch of death metal.In addition to this, this album highlights the band's admiration for Bay Area thrash metal, and their sharp riff work stands out. The presence of Jacob roaring with a metallic sound is still overwhelming, and has a different feel from that of recent CONVERGE albums, which have leaned more toward punk rock\/alternative styles.
