Former first violin of La Petite Band (she also worked with such renowned ensembles as Il Fondamento, Europa Galante, and Bach Concentus), concertmaster of the period orchestra \"Concerto Foscari\" in Hanover, and first violin of the string quartet \"QUATUOR \"a4\"\". Le Pavillon de Musique\" is an ensemble founded in 2020 by Anne Knopf, a renowned Belgian female violinist who is also the first violinist of the string quartet \"QUATUOR \"a4\". Le Pavillon de Musique focuses on unknown music of the Baroque and early Classical periods, and this album features four violin concertos selected from a large number of manuscripts (manuscripts) of unknown authorship in Stockholm's Music and Theater Library. Each of the four violin concertos selected here by Ann Knopf has distinctly different characteristics, suggesting that each was composed by a different person. These works were composed in the 18th century in the Gallant style. Further research may be able to identify which person composed them, but we are free to imagine why they were left in Stockholm, and with what political or religious intentions they were created.
