He is, in both name and deed, one of the conductors Naxos holds in high regard, and in this recording as well, he delivers a performance that combines grandeur with lyrical beauty. The two British singers and one German singer also deliver superb interpretations. It would be interesting to compare this recording with the wind band arrangement (8.570242) released simultaneously.\n\nUsing texts by anonymous medieval poets that blend humor, obscenity, and hedonism, the 20th-century German composer Carl Orff created “Carmina Burana,” a choral work brimming with irreverent sensuality that is both direct and exhilarating. With its pulsating rhythms, colorful orchestration, and dynamic choral singing forming a striking contrast to its unabashed sensuality, “Carmina Burana” has taken its place among the world’s most popular musical works. It has been featured in countless television commercials and films around the world.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Naxos\/20th Century Finnish","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53595638071585,"sku":"4945604700337","price":31.0,"currency_code":"CAD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4945604700337.jpg?v=1790482055","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-ca\/products\/4945604700337","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
