Tristano's superb sense of rhythm and mysterious and fascinating tone explode in this recording of the complete Bach English Suites by the Luxembourg-born pianist Francesco Tristano. This is the first release on Tristano's own label, intothefuture. This is a Japan-only title (licensed from intothefuture). The British Suites are all in the form of traditional suites consisting of preludes and dances. The character of each dance stands out while maintaining its nobility and graceful ornamentation. Some of the dances have rapid passages, and require great sense and skill on the part of the players. Tristano's superb rhythmic sense and his distinctive tone, which resonates directly with the listener, allow the suite to move forward, sometimes in a very serious way, other times in a vivid and lively way.
