The Robert Simpson Society, founded in 1980 to promote his work, produced two albums to fill these gaps, and this is the first.\n\nIncluded here are an early string quartet and two songs discovered after the composer's death. These works prove that he was already an outstanding talent at a young age. In particular, the quartet in D major, composed while he was still a student, was described as \"fearless\" by the examiners of the time. The last two works are representative of Simpson's mature period, when he was aiming to expand his clarinet repertoire. In the Trio, the virtuoso Emma Johnson gives a tasteful performance.\n\n\n\n(Naxos Japan)\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Toccata Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50716288614689,"sku":"4589538818418","price":27.0,"currency_code":"CAD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4589538818418.jpg?v=1734945615","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-ca\/products\/4589538818418","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
