While his father and two brothers were operetta composers, Siegfried tended to write more serious works; his Piano Trio, Op. 4, is a compelling work full of striking musical ideas and won the Mendelssohn Composition Prize. The members of Trio Image were thrilled to have stumbled upon Siegfried Fal's score and to have it in their repertoire.
