Description:

A new solo guitar work by Artur Nesterovsky, composer/guitarist, music critic, author, and artistic director of the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra. Nestorovsky has previously recorded Jobim and Sico Buarque songs for solo guitar, both of which received high acclaim for their simple arrangements that utilize the best of the original music and the clean guitar sound typical of the classical field. This time, Nestorovsky recorded a collection of his own originals, from Aitor-Villalobos, Pisinginha, Joao Pernambuco, Edu Lobo, Paulinho da Viola, Ginga, and the last one. In fact, a century's worth of Brazilian music history is traced on the guitar. The realistic recording, which includes even the sound of the guitarist's breath and the rubbing of the frets, is a recording that could only be made on a classical guitar. This is a new masterpiece of Brazilian guitar music.
