Dominic has been the right-hand man not only for Sting, but also for Paul Simon, the Chieftans, and many other musicians in his career. Praised by Sting as "an architect of colorful sound," Dominic and Paul Simon wrote together on some of his best-known songs, including "Shape of My Heart," and this new album is a tribute to two of the most original guitarists in ECM's history, Pat Metheny and Egberto Gismonti. The music is a blend of raw sounds with overtones. The songs "Angel" and "Tisen," in particular, follow Metheny's characteristic acoustic sound that gives the listener a sense of spatial expansion, while "Gismonti" is a tribute to Gismonti's unique style of blending live sounds with overtones to create a groove, and "Tisen," which features percussion, is a tribute to Gismonti. The percussion and collaboration on "Angel" and "Tisane" in particular follow Metheny's characteristic acoustic sound with a sense of spatiality, and express the influence of "Two Voices" (original title: Duas Vozes), which Gismonti produced with Brazilian percussionist Nana Vasconcelos (who also played in Pat Metheny's group). The recording was done at Rainbow Studios in Oslo, Norway, the "ECM Mecca," in the presence of Manfred Eicher. The recording was done live with almost no multiplexing, but one track, "Chaos Theory," features Dominic on guitar and bass with Miles Bourdette on drums. As a symbol of Dominic's experience of touring the world and absorbing all kinds of music, the songs on the album include "Baden," a tribute to the legendary Brazilian guitarist Baden Powell, "Le Pont," influenced by French music, "Valium," in the Scottish style of Bert Jansch, and many others. and many other original compositions with various images. In addition, the program will include the famous song "Fields of Gold" by our good friend Sting.

Tracklisting:

.What You Didn't Say
.Urban Waltz
.Water
.Baden
.En Passant
.Angel
.Chaos Theory
.Fields of Gold
.Tisane
.Valium
.Pont, Le
