Though they disbanded after releasing just two standalone albums, their sound continues to captivate many indie kids to this day.\nA rare live recording from BBC Radio in 1987 has finally been unearthed and released. Featuring session recordings made for Janice Long’s show, this album captures the excitement of Edinburgh at the time and all of the band’s early energy in vivid, raw recordings.\nFour tracks in total: the high-energy “BEACHPARTY”; “IT’SNOTASSIMPLEASTHAT,” a previously unreleased track that had been buried in history; “BLUESUMMER,” with its poignant, wistful melody; and “THENEILDIAMONDONE (CHERRY, CHERRY)—all four tracks explode with raw, edgy ensemble playing.
