The second album in six years from UK Yorkshire duo XAM Duo, made up of Matthew Benn and Christopher Duffin, both members of Holodrum, a band formed from the wreckage of Hookworms and which released its debut album earlier this year. The album makes use of saxophone, tape chords, rose piano, synthesizers, and precise, deliberate sequencing and punchy synth tones, and while the digital approach might seem cold and processed, it's the opposite: warm and natural.
