Aires in Gather, a British band formed by Pete Becker and Martin Bates in 1980, recorded all of their material for CHERRY RED between 1981 and 1986 in this 5CD anthology. In their early years, the band advocated experimental post-punk, and as time went by, they shifted to aesthetic neo-acoustic music, but their individuality shines through no matter which era you listen to. This album is not just an anthology, but a playlist of their six albums and all the singles from CHERRY RED, categorized by theme and reconstructed into five playlists. Of course, they did the composition themselves, and detailed liner notes by Martin Bates are included.
