The third album "Minato" by Manabu Yuasa, bassist Masato Matsumura, guitarist Takuma Makino, and drummer Motoki Yamaguchi was released in 1995 as the improvisational performance duo "Yuasa Battery" and renamed "Yuasa Bay" in 1997. In 1997, they changed their name to "Yuasa Bay" and released their first album "Toothless Asshole" in the same year, and "Yuasa Bay Live" in 2003 (both on OZ Disc). In 2009, they released their third album "Minato" (boid), which was highly acclaimed from all quarters, and in 2010, they released the 3-CD set "Ukinami", which included their third album and 2009, and in 2012, they released the EP "Suna Tide" (both on boid). With Taniguchi Yu on piano and organ as a supporting member, they released their first full-length album in 10 years, "Pulse" (boid), in December 2007.
