Sadistic Mika Band

Description:

Legendary band Sadistic Mika Band, including a live performance at Maruyama Park in Kyoto, Japan, which has been in storage for 50 years, has been unearthed! Sadistic Mika Band, a rare rock band formed by Kazuhiko Kato, a brilliant milestone in the early days of Japanese rock music, has announced the release of a CD box containing the latest remastered recordings of all four original albums and two live albums from the first period when MIKA was the vocalist and the second period when Karen Kirishima was the vocalist. The remastered albums were released as an LP BOX last year. The remastering was done when the LP BOX was released last year. The first phase was done by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios in London, and the second phase was done by Yoshinori Sunahara, who is well trusted by the members. The archive, which had been carefully stored for 50 years in the storehouse of the former director of KBS Kyoto, is now being brought to light for the first time. This is a live recording made in the middle of a joint tour with Carroll in July, just before their appearance at the legendary One Step Festival in Koriyama, Fukushima Prefecture in August 1974.It includes "Rock 'n' Roll Band," which the band played live, "Ginza Can Can Musume" composed by Ryoichi Hattori, and "TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia)," the theme song from the American TV show "Soul Train. The set list is a wonderful glimpse into the band's roots, from boogie to soul. Also included is disc 8, a collection of rare tracks, including live versions and different takes, including a first CD release; previously unreleased live sound recording at Kyoritsu Auditorium on April 9, 1973, before the band's debut in 1972, followed by Kazuhiko Kato's MC, who happily states, "I formed a band called Sadistic Mika Band Cycling Boogie," a song played and narrated by Kazuhiko Kato. The show is full of surprise tracks, including an English version of "Okinawa BOOGALOO" released overseas. Also included is studio live footage from the BBC's "Old Gray Whistle Test" in the UK in 1975, which is said to have overwhelmed viewers as the band expanded overseas, and a live performance of "High Baby" on tvk's "Young Impulse", restored with the latest technology. All of them contain valuable treasures in the history of Japanese music. The booklet includes a contribution from producer Kazunaga Nitta, who played a major role in the band's creation and global expansion, an interview with bassist Rei Obara, who was a member of both the first and second phases of the band, and rare photos by photographer Shoichi Sakomizu, who captured the band on stage at the time. The book is a truly "PERFECT" sadistic album. This is a truly PERFECT Sadistic Mika Band luxury menu.
