Description:
The arrival of the most powerful masterpiece album by the remarkable cellist Bruno Philippe cello, the definitive Franck sonatas for a new era of astonishing high resolution! Saint-Saens Concertos & Poulenc SonatasThe rising star of cello, Bruno Philippe, releases a lavish album of masterpieces. The long-breathed song that embraces the listener and the beautiful tone without any blurring are in full bloom. Following the highly acclaimed Bach Suite for Unaccompanied Cello (KKC-6530/HMM-902684), here is another one that will make its mark on the world. Franck's sonata has the air of a somewhat dreamy meditation, rather than a phenomenally long phrase-singing sensation. Tanguy de Villiencourt's piano is stunning, flawless, and with a high resolution that allows even the most detailed passages to be heard clearly. This was a masterful performance of Franck in a new era. In the Saint-Saens, he sings and plays dynamically while maintaining his delicate and beautiful tone, and the performance is very satisfying. Eschenbach and the orchestra are also doing their utmost to communicate with Philippe. In the Poulenc, Bruno Philippe's unique, somewhat dreamy atmosphere is in the air, with a touch of stylishness here and there, and Villiencourt's piano gives an excellent performance of Poulenc's harmonies. The long-lasting songs, even in small pieces, leave a lasting impression. Bruno Philippe was born in 1993 in Perpignan in southern France. In 2011, he won the Grand Prix and the Best Recital Prize at the André Navarre International Competition. In 2017, she won the Queen Elisabeth International Competition; in 2018, she was awarded the "Instrumental Revelation" prize at the Victoire de Musique. Tanguy de Villiencourt was born in France in 1990.She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in the classes of Roger Muraro, Claire Deserre and Jean-Frédéric Nouvellet, and won prizes at the 2008 YAMAHA Competition and the 2013 Faure Competition. She was a winner of the 2017-19 SPEDIDAM Generation, and is a rising star with great promise for further success. King International
