The oratorio benefits fully from this, and is a work of great imagination and artistic skill. The singers take on a variety of roles, not only human and divine, but also anthropomorphic \"truth\" and \"love,\" and create magnificent music with vivid language. The performance is a wonderful one, featuring the virtuoso Virens in Telemann and some of Germany's finest baroque singers.
