In August, it was announced that recording would begin, and Andy Sneap, who has worked on ACCEPT and NEVERMORE, was announced to participate in the production for the first time. Andy will be mixing and mastering the album, with vocalist Biff producing. Andy's mixing work was completed in October. The band then announced the album title \"Sacrifice\" and tour dates; the music video for the title track \"Sacrifice\" was released in February and the album was released on March 1, 2013.The CD deluxe edition included a bonus disc with re-recorded versions of five classic SAXON songs. This Japan commemorative edition will also include these five songs in their entirety. After the release of the album, a world tour followed. The tour began in the U.S. with an appearance on the Monsters of Rock cruise, followed by a tour of South America, a U.K. tour in April, and European dates, including a headlining appearance at the Bang Your Head festival in Germany and an appearance at Hellfest in France.
