Kuiken \u0026amp; La Petite Band★ La Petite Band led by Sikiswald Kuiken has released an album containing Haydn's symphonic trilogy \"Morning\", \"Noon\", and \"Evening\"! The young Haydn, who had just become the assistant music director of the Marquess of Esterházy, was asked by the Marquess to compose the trilogy, and he created this album. The orchestra of the marquise is full of virtuoso musicians, and the technical solos by each instrument are outstanding, giving the work the impression of an ensemble concerto rather than a symphony. The work is a pleasant piece with a refreshing sound without any stagnation overall. The solos by the violins and flutes are beautiful and full of elegance, but the solos by the bass instruments are also worth paying attention to! In the trio of the third movement of the Minuet, the bass instruments play a solo duet, and although it is short, you can enjoy the virtuosity of the bassoon and contrabass. The performance of the La Petite Band was one of the best in this program, which requires a high level of performance technique from each of the players. The ensemble's performance was exhilarating, with a combination of delicacy and dynamism that kept the entire ensemble tight and tight. The Quicken \u0026amp; La Petite Band, who charmed us with their meditative beauty in Buxtehude's Cantata Collection (ACC24243), have created a delightful album with lively harmonies this time!
