Iron & Wine to Release Soundtrack to Own Documentary Concert Film Who Can See Forever A live record featuring 19 songs from a career spanning more than 20 years, Iron & Wine will release Who Can See Forever on November 2023, to be released on Sub Pop. This is a live record that will serve as the soundtrack to the film of the same name. The video was shot by director Josh Sliffe at the Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw, N.C. The soundtrack features 19 songs from singer-songwriter Sam Beam's career spanning over 20 years, found creative ways to rework his catalog live, and here he offers new and fresh versions of Iron & Wine songs such as "The Trapeze Swinger," "Boy With a Coin," and "Naked As We Came."Originally produced as a live concert film, the film has evolved into a visual work that captures Beam's creative explosion, including four Grammy nominations in four years. Like his music, the film touches on universal and personal themes as Beam grapples with managing his personal and professional life as an artist. The soundtrack and film offer a fascinating first glimpse behind the scenes of Iron & Wine. The soundtrack was produced by Sam Beam and recorded by his longtime live sound engineer Jelle Kuiper. It was mixed by Matt Ross-Spang at Southern Grooves in Memphis, Tennessee, and mastered by Richard Dodd in Nashville, Tennessee.
