Natalia Andreyeva is well known as a student of the Russian female contemporary composer Galina Ustvolskaya. Currently teaching piano at the University of Sydney, she has a repertoire that includes not only contemporary music, but also works by Bach and other classical composers, Romanticism, and everything in between. In this album, Andreeva skillfully performs Bach's works, along with arrangements by Liszt, new experiments by Franck, and works by Shostakovich, almost 200 years after Bach, in a recital format that allows one to listen to the entire album and understand the history of the music.
