Description:

A collaborative album by composer Oljan Matre, a leading figure in the Norwegian music scene today, and the Oslo Chamber Choir. Oljan Matre studied at the Norwegian National College of Music and has been active in the Norwegian music scene as a composer with a distinctive "unique voice. For Veneriti, he collaborated with the Oslo Chamber Choir, with whom he has worked for more than 10 years. For this album, he has made new arrangements of Norwegian folk songs from the choir's traditional repertoire. Hymns of longing, mystical folk tales, and bittersweet love songs are given new life in his own interpretation, without changing the essential parts. The medieval ballad "Veneriti" is about a girl who is lured into a mountain cave by a mountain king and given a magical drink. The "I Know a Beautiful and Long Rest" has been sung at gatherings to send off the dead. Hallingdahl's "Springal" 《Lustemann's Slot》. It is said that the lyrics were written by a young man on his deathbed, and the members of the Oslo Chamber Choir learned them directly from folk singer Yunni Løvri 《Restore me, O God》. The "Friends of the Lord" sings of the wish to be reunited with loved ones in heaven.Stole Stolli" based on an old recording by Aslak Brekke. The Best Land," a melody played on fiddle and mouth harp with lyrics by Paul-Helge Haugen (1945-). The love song "Oh, my dear Sigli" was sung from Telemark to Suldahl across the mountains. The evening song "Now the Sunlight". The Oslo Chamber Choir was founded in 1984 by Grete Pädeschen and has performed with some of Norway's leading folk musicians, including Sondre Bratlan, Hjosten Broten Berg, and Junni Løvri. has served as conductor and music director since 2005. He studied at the Norwegian National College of Music and the Royal Danish Academy of Music, and has conducted orchestras in Scandinavia, as well as operas such as "The Marriage of Figaro" and "The Child and the Spell. Venerity" was produced by Motten Lindberg, one of the pioneers of "immersive audio. The recording session took place at the Risu Church in Oslo. King International
