Centered around vocalist/guitarist AMELIA FLETCHER (who led TALULA HGOSH in the late ’80s), guitarist PETER MOMTCHILOFF, vocalist/keyboardist CATHY ROGERS, and bassist ROB PURSEY, they are a band emblematic of the ’90s, operating out of British indie gem SARAH RECORDS and Olympia, Washington’s K RECORDS. Having overcome the tragedy of the sudden passing of AMELIA’s brother and original drummer MATHEWFLETCHER in 1996, the band continues as a five-piece, now featuring Kent-based IANBUTTON, who has also served as the touring drummer for DEATHINVEGAS.

Released in 2026, this album arrives nearly 30 years after their previous release. It was recorded at RUMBABA Studios in Deptford, London, and THE SUNDAY SCHOOL in Kent, and produced by TOBY BURROUGHS of ISLANDERS. While retaining the musical formula that captivated sensitive indie fans in the early ’90s, it has crystallized into an exceptionally sincere comeback album, imbued with resistance to the “cold, masculine energy” of the modern era, as well as grief, empathy, and love.

It opens with "SCENESTEALING," featuring a dance beat reminiscent of Blondie’s "Heart of Glass," and fully resonates with a fresh vibe, including "EXCUSEME," which explodes with the punkish early energy reminiscent of The Undertones’ debut album. From "PORTLANDTOWN," which celebrates diversity, to "ADIFFERENTBEAT," which rides a disco sound to express an escape from oppression and a quest for freedom, and finally to the moving closing track "THATLASTDAY," which sings a tribute to the loss of a loved one, the album is colored throughout by the euphoric harmonies of AMELIAFLETCHER and CATHYROGERS.

This album proves their unwavering independent spirit, earning them passionate support from a new, cross-generational fanbase. It is a pop "out-of-place artifact" that defines 2026, hiding sharp messages beneath sweet and bittersweet melodies.

Released on the SKEPWAX label, run by ROB and AMELIA themselves, it embodies the indie spirit to the fullest.

Tracklisting:

1.
