In the past, while reorganizing material created for an installation, it was sometimes transformed into completely different music through repeated adjustments, edits, and reconfigurations. STUDIO\" is a personal history of a veteran electronic musician, developed in the studio over many years. This work was produced with Ableton Live. It consists of Robert's favorite hardware synths and effects. The New England Digital Synclavier II that inspired the artwork, the Sequential Prophet VS, Yamaha SY77, Linn Drum, and Oberheim Xpander used in Monolake's work since 1996, and the New England Digital Synclavier II, which was the inspiration for the artwork.Ableton Live is of course used with Operator and other effects and materials in the software. Plus Granulator III and PitchLoop 89. The artwork depicts a non-existent instrument based on the Synclavier II user interface, beneath multiple lichen images combined with river-structure-like noise areas.
