All eight songs on the album are from Holdsworth's pen, and have an edgy rock sound with a jazz\/fusion essence, reminiscent of the Tempest-era sound. The entire album showcases Holdsworth's unique guitar technique, and received the highest score in the \"Guitar Player\" magazine's review of the album at the time of its release.
