The following year, he became the resident organist of the new Aubertin organ in Saint-Louis-en-Lille church in Paris, where he has been playing Bach on various organs, including one with a full set of foot-keys and sound plugs, and also playing harpsichord and organ equally well on recordings. He has recorded a series of Bach's keyboard works for ALPHA and Harmonia Mundi France. Conversely, we have rarely had the opportunity to hear Allard play works other than Bach, but during an encore performance of his Japan tour in May 2022, he gave an astonishing interpretation of Scarlatti's Sonata, demonstrating that his commitment to Bach's works did not indicate the limits of his aptitude or taste. Further proof of this comes in the form of a surprising recording on the Spanish label March Vivo, a recording of a concert in Madrid on February 1, 2020, featuring a program of selected works by three of the most important members of the famous Couperin family in the history of French music. The three performers have very different styles, but all of them have a very natural sense of style, and their interpretations of each piece's individuality are breathtaking.The relaxed stability that characterizes his Bach performances is still present here, and while the live presence of the performance is penetrating, it is completely free from any danger, allowing the listener to immerse himself in the musical world of each composer.
