The heroine's death is neither a fatal illness nor a wounded heart, but rather a natural cycle, a tribute to and awe of nature's repetitive death and rebirth. The music, interspersed with Moravian folk songs, perfectly accompanies the Czech dialogue, vividly portrays the characters, and the singers' lively interactions are superb.
