Henry Laudares, Munich Radio Orchestra

Description:

Henry Laudares is a violinist and conductor from Guatemala. He was taught the violin by his father at the age of four, and three years later he performed with the orchestra as a soloist. From 1989 to 1993 he was concertmaster of the Flanders Opera Orchestra, and since 2001 he has been concertmaster of the Munich Radio Orchestra, where he plays a key role in the orchestra. On this album, Lauderdale performs six of Mendelssohn's early masterpieces as conductor, including the "Sinfonia for Strings" and the "Concerto for Violin and Strings in D minor," another early work. In the concerto, Mendelssohn himself plays the violin and leads the orchestra, portraying Mendelssohn's youthful passion that overflows from his works. Naxos Japan
