This time, Tetzlaff is accompanied by the popular conductor Lintu and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, a perfect arrangement that allows Tetzlaff to extend his performance. In the past, the only known Bartók violin concerto was \"No. 2,\" composed between 1937 and 1938. The profound and tense musical ideas of the piece, with its use of folk-like material and even quartets, are characteristic of Bartók in his mature period, and many violinists have loved playing this piece. For a long time, this was thought to be the only Bartók violin concerto, but after his death, a concerto from his youth, composed between 1907 and 1908 and dedicated to Steffi Geier, was discovered and is now called the No. 1 concerto.
