Actraiser was a huge hit in the 1990s, and to celebrate its 30th anniversary, a remastered original soundtrack composed by Yuzo Ancient will be released. And this includes a performance of the New Japan BGM Philharmonic Orchestra's 2018 performance of "Ancient Festival"! This will be a rare chance to rediscover classical music in another dimension, reborn with a new orchestral arrangement. At the time, the Actraiser soundtrack was truly revolutionary. While the FM sound source when it first came out only produced six notes, Yuzo Ancient skillfully used the hardware to the extent that critics said, "There's an orchestra inside a game cartridge," and he showed his arranging skills and taste in this work. It would have a great influence on later composers.
