The lyrics were written by Nozomu Hayashi, a renowned author and scholar of Japanese literature, and the music was composed by Maki Ueda, who has made a name for himself composing and arranging pieces for the NHK National School Music Competition. Both are already highly regarded as a legendary duo in the choral world. “Music Takkyubin” is a family concert series that Yamato Holdings has been organizing for 30 years since 1986, driven by the desire to “deliver authentic, high-quality music to everyone, regardless of age or region.” Approximately 10 performances are held annually throughout Japan, with children’s choirs from various regions performing this piece alongside professional orchestras. Beloved by choirs nationwide through these performances and leaving a deep impression on audiences alike, the long-awaited recording of this piece has finally been realized, conducted by Norichika Iimori and performed by the Tokyo Boys’ and Girls’ Choir. It is a masterpiece that is rapidly gaining popularity as a new classic in the choral repertoire. (From the manufacturer’s materials)\n\n[Track Listing]\nMaki Ueda:\n1.
