Rare Groove,Jazz Funk,Fusion,AOR,Cross Over,Reggae Dub,A tension-filled, once-in-a-lifetime instrumental performance with Ponta Murakami and his band, POINTER BROTHERS, on March 11, 2020 in Ishinomaki. On March 11, 2020, POINTER BROTHERS, a JAM band, performed at a small club in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, where the band was formed, and it was the last session with Ponta. Naoyuki Uchida, who was acting as PA engineer that day, recorded the live performance with a simple portable recorder in the PA booth, and Uchida himself mastered the sound and analog mastered it to make it into a sound source. In other words, this is a live recording of Ponta's last and latest performance.The audience could hear how focused each member of the band was on this day. The thrilling tactics, the crisp, instantaneous energy and speed, and the imaginative performance that led the audience to immerse themselves in the music, combined with the cheers of the familiar audience that encouraged them, made for a miraculous night. The band members' superb playing skills, but above all, it is a rare archival recording that proves that Shuichi Murakami Ponta was the best drummer and artist right up to the time of his death. With a sense of realism that is close to that of field recordings, this is a recording of a high-density performance that can be considered the pinnacle of the band's maturity.
